snow in the desert, surf with no ocean and skydiving
indoors!

Starburst is all about contradictions - it's hard like a solid on the outside and juicy like a liquid on the inside - but it's not just candy we're talking about. Contradictions are part of our everyday lives, even people who live extraordinary lives!

Two such people are pro snowboarder Eddie Wall and his partner in crime, pro filmer Pierre Wikberg. Eddie and Pierre are a team of world traveling snowboarders who document their exploits on their video blog site, Video Hyper Shred. Starburst teamed up with Eddie and Pierre in late April 2010 to find one of the world's most amazing and over-the-top contradictions, namely, snowboarding in Dubai.

Dubai is one of the richest city states in the world. A member of the United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf, Dubai has built a modern metropolis oasis in the desert sands of the Middle East and have spared no expense. The shining example of this opulence for our team is Ski Dubai, the world's largest indoor ski dome where the inside temperature hovers around 30 degrees Fahrenheit while just outside the hot sun blazes in 100+ degree heat.

While this contradiction is obvious Eddie and Pierre found many more during their stay in Dubai - be it skydiving indoors, riding their snowboards down sand dunes or surfing in the otherwise wave-less Persian Gulf.
