With September here and the first chill of fall only breathes away, invariably thoughts of the coming winter are creeping into the minds of snowboarders throughout the northern Hemisphere. And while we may have to wait a few more months or the first flakes of snow to fall, the boys at Zimtstern in Austria decided they just couldn't wait to strap in and ride some mountainsides.

With that enthusiasm riders Hans Ahlund, Reto Kestenholz, Colin Frei and Simon Abt took to the wooden Austrian hills and charged through fresh fallen slopes of leaves, transporting our imaginations to a land where winter never ends, despite the apparent lack of snow.

Directed by acclaimed filmer and cinematographer, Marco Lutz, Zimtstern "Leaves" is a breathtaking break from reality that brings us that much closer to winter.
