"It's our third day in AZ but our second full day of riding. Went to eat down town in Phoenix at some empty restaurant that made us all pile into one small table and the whole place was empty. Anyway, the potato salad was good. Drove out to the Glendale skatepark which actually has a good street section and rode around for a bit. Ed was trying this weird inward 180 to backwards smith on a ledge and then pulled it on an alley later in the day. Smoker Dave is alive and well and shredded with us out at the Dysart ledges. I had been to the spot twice before and never rode the set-up around the corner, which is nuts and even better than the famous side-by-side ledges that Ardelean switch smithed for his Ride cover years ago. Smoker Dave did a crazy ass-slide "grind?" down the ledge to end that session. We all went back to Dave place and watched Super Bad and ate his wife's amazing spaghetti with spicy sausage. So good. Back to the hotel and decided to sample some of the nightlife at Le Girls down the street."
