Moore won the Reef Hawaiian Pro over the weekend, becoming the youngest winner ever of a Vans Triple Crown event. Moore, who entered the first leg of the Triple Crown as a wild card, took down fellow finalists Layne Beachley, Laura Enever and Coco Ho. Ho was penalized for dropping in on Layne’s last wave, possibly costing Ho a shot at the World Tour next year and helping Moore win the contest.
"It was my dream to one day win out here and I'm really happy," said Carissa. "I was just praying that Layne wouldn't get one. I was really thankful that Coco ended up getting that one. I'm definitely thankful that she is one of my best friends. It was an honor to be in that heat with all those girls. It was so close with Layne."
The wait is now currently on for the Roxy Pro Sunset Beach, where the ladies are waiting for favorable conditions. Pics and video highlights courtesy of the ASP World Tour.
