After spending some time on the margins of the FMX world, largely due to injuries, Nate Adams roared back to the winner's podium or circle, or whatever, taking first down at the Red Bull X Fighters in Texas this weekend past. Which is a nice story, but it lacks the impact of the real highlight of the night: some Aussie by the name of Cameron Sinclair landed TWO double backflips in competition, and somehow got third place. Mind you, this is a freestyle format, not a best trick competition: TWO double backflips! Also amazing about this contest was Thomas Pages, the Frenchman who normally rides in a t-shirt tried to become the first man to land a frontflip in competition, but will have to be satisfied with the title of "First Man to Attempt a Frontflip in Competition" after
becoming separated from his bike in mid-air.
From Texas, X-Fighters rolls on to Spain. Eigo Sato of Japan currently is in first overall, followed by Mat Rebeaud. Robbie Maddison and Nate Adams are tied for third.
