180.From ESPN.com: On the longest day of the year, when the sun barley dips below the horizon, the Danish come out in droves to celebrate the ancient pagan holiday known as The Burning Of The Witch. This year, Copenhagen's skateboarding ambassador, Rune Glifberg, teamed up with Volcom and Thrasher magazine to produce a contest in the spirit of this most ancient of annual rituals.
Aside from a brave local hero, Chris Pfanner was the only skater one who stepped to the behemoth. Like a fearless Viking, Pfanner not only ollied the never-been-ollied beast, but slapped a backside 180 down it for good measure.
The Burning Of The Witch set the pace for what will become a busy weekend here in Copenhagen. Girl and Anti-Hero's Euro Beauty And The Beast tour is here, Clich is here, Nike SB is here, and of course, DVS is here. The CPH Pro is only one day away.
Check out a video from the event at Thrasher.com.
