Old Welland Canal

A 14 year old boy almost drowned this weekend after jumping into a canal to save his skateboard, if it wasn't for a man walking his dog things could have ended much worse.

In a Canadian News article, the boy's skateboard rolled under a guardrail and dropped in the Old Welland Canal. When the boy hopped the fence and down a retaining wall to retrieve it. Luckily, a man walking his dog heard the boy yelling for help and immediately used his dog's leash to pull the boy to safety.

The boy was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he suffered only mild hypothermia.

Must have been one good board!
