Aidan Harding, John Foster, and Blaine Nestor climb
up the tail end of the Goat Creek Trail about 12
miles into the race.If you are planning to go a long way on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, you will depend a great deal on your gear. There are few services such as bike shops, outdoor stores, hospitals, and commercial accommodations available on the route. Since there are few opportunities to purchase equipment or have repairs done, you will depend largely on what you bring with you.
Careful selection of equipment will pay off during the trip...

Nice work using my photos without asking permission! Way to be professional. And you really did a great job with this in-depth article! Telling people they'll need to bring a bicycle frame and wheels in order to ride the Great Divide Route is spot on. Think of the all the beginners who show up to bike it without those things! You stay classy "Gannet Company."
