Big mountain snowboarder Meesh Hytner has become an overnight YouTube sensation with the footage of her surviving a Montezuma avalanche with the help of a BCA airbag. Many folks out there find it hard to believe that anyone would willingly venture out to ride the backcountry this winter season, after all, snow conditions have been anything but stable this year...unless it was a marketing ploy?

Companies have done some pretty ridiculous advertisements in the past and we hope Backcountry Access isn't using one of these opportunities to make a shameless plug on their airbags. Because staged or not, we're glad Meesh is alive and safe.
