Hailing from the East Cape, far from the hustle and crowds of Capetown, Royson was raised on miles of right hand point breaks and white sand beaches, a perfect breeding ground for an East London bloke looking to blossom into a world class wave rider.

At last week's Mr. Price Pro, while the world was hailing Californian Tanner Gudauskas's victory, BNQT had the chance to take in the local flavor of this Capetown favorite.
