When you're buried alive - these guys are angels.There have been almost two dozen snowboarders who have died this season in avalanches, tree wells or other accidents, calling attention to the ever present danger inherent in the mountains. One that every skier or snowboarder or snowmobiler must be aware of before venturing off-piste or especially in the backcountry.

Given that, we decided to compile a quick list of the best avalanche survival vids we could find on the web. No doubt there are some missing but this should be a reasonably complete representative sample.

Remember people, don't ride alone and always wear your peeps!
