Must Have Skate Collection

The Holiday season has arrived. And to make your wish and gift lists super easy to pull off this year, we’ve put together a comprehensive gift guide featuring 24 must have goods. Have a look and see some stuff you’ll either want to give, or want to give to yourself.

***Hardgoods***

Stereo Vinyl Cruiser

Photobucket

Stereo Sound Agency is now making custom vinyl cruisers that are designed for 100% pure fun. Inspired by Stereo owners Jason Lee and Chris Pastras’ banana board riding upbringing, these Vinyl cruisers come in six different colors, and come with a pair of custom wayfarers and sticker set. 5.875 Wide, 22.5 Long, this little thing is equipped with soft wheels and loose turning trucks.

Element Nyjah Drop Down Highlight

Photobucket

\Right now, Nyjah’s basically one of the gnarliest dudes in skateboarding. If you downloaded his “Rise & Shine” part that dropped last month, you know the kid is handling next level skateboarding. One of his new decks, the Drop Down model features some next level technology. Element Highlight Technology features three rigid fiberglass beams that extend to the nose and tail and increase resilience and stiffness without adding any bulky weight. More pop, longer lasting and plenty of strength. Back Nyjah, and ride a board that’ll take your skating to the next level.

Theeve Titanium TiH Mid

Photobucket

Strong as hell, ridiculously light with no axle to even slip and a titanium surface that grinds like hell….Theeve makes some of the best trucks in skateboarding. Theeve's Titanium TiH Mid features a single piece, axle-less Ti-Hanger that is twice as strong and 20% lighter than any other truck in the world. There’s no separate axle rod, just two short axle pieces molded into a single piece of titanium. And the best part is, these things come with premium Bones Hardcore Bushings that turn on a dime.

Spitfire F1 Streetburners

Photobucket

If you’re a street skater, you know that there’s nothing better or faster than a rock hard wheel. The Spitfire F1 Street Burners are super hard [100 durometer], good sizes at 52-54mm’s, and fully flatspot resistant. Plus, they’re designed to stay grippy without sacrificing that desired slide you’ll want when pushing atop ‘crete. Ride’em without being self-conscious of throwing down all the slides you want, all day long. Get the F1’s and burn some damn street.

Santa Cruz Homer Simpson Cruzer Complete

Photobucket

Whether you’re a diehard fan of The Simpsons or not, there’s not denying the awesomeness of the Santa Cruz Simpson Cruzer. From top to bottom, it features a custom Homer deck that’s embodies the shape over everything Homer. It features 54mm, super soft Road Rider donut wheels and a set Krux trucks, making it more than just a novelty. This thing is the real deal, and session ready when things begin to pop off.

Sk8ology Carabiner Skateboard Tool

Photobucket

If you skate, you need an all in one skate tool. That’s the bottom line. But getting an all-in-one skate tool that’s portable and actually wearable was non-existent until now. The Sk8ology tool is a small carabiner that easily hooks onto your belt loop and even holds your keys. It’s got everything you need with a 9/16" kingpin, 1/2" axle nut, 3/8" mounting hardware, and a dual phillips and allen driver that’s kept in place by an internal magnet holding system. And if that wasn’t enough, it’s a bottle opener too. This skate tool can go anywhere you go with ease and get it all done when you need it to.

Bones Ceramic Swiss Bearings

Photobucket

Since the dawn of skateboarding, we’ve all been chasing speed. And right now, there’s no faster bearing in skateboarding than a set of Bones Swiss. They roll like lighting and last insanely long. And the only thing superior to Bones Swiss, are Bones Swiss Ceramics. They’re a bit pricier than the rest, but if you’ve ridden them you’ll know where those extra few bucks went. Made with 100% high purity silicon nitrade ceramic balls, these rollers are fast, long lasting and super easy to clean. Get a skater a set and stuff’em in their stocking. It’ll be one holiday gift that keeps giving, one session at a time.

Vision Original MG Deck

Photobucket

If you don’t have $2,500 to drop on a 1986 Original Vision  Mark Gonzales deck, this re-issue is just as good. It’s go the same graphic and shape down to the tee, just without Gonz’s name on it. This one is perfect for anyone looking to relive the old days by setting it up as a cruiser or just spice up their living room with some old school historical eye candy.

***Soft Goods***

Element Hampton Elite

Photobucket

This ultra stylish kicker is part of Element’s new Emerald Collection, which features some of the best looking boots I’ve seen in a while. The Hampton is by far my favorite, featuring a classic silhouette, boat shoe side accent lacing and custom leather lace boots. The best part is they’re warm, durable, moisture-wicking for breathability and feature a weather-resistant Vibram® outsole.

DGK Honors Pullover Sweatshirt

Photobucket

Pledge allegiance to the DGK squad with the Dirty Ghetto Kids Honors Sweatshirt. Where did you get educated? Let’em know you graduated honors from what the custom screen says… “Ghetto University”. Loose fit, large front pouch pocket with dual DGK tags and some back graphic flare to reinforce your “DGK ALL DAY” state of mind.

Plan B 1st Half Sweat Pants

Photobucket

When the day of stacking clips and rolling is dirt ends, kickin’ it in style is utterly essential. The 1st Half Sweatpant from Plan B takes lounging to all new levels of comfort and style with a small internal dual front pockets, a drawstring waist, stash pocket, zippered leg openings and a rear Velcro closure pocket flap with custom Plan B screen and tag. Take to sleep or take’em to the streets. Either way, you’re steady on the come up.

Element Atwood Jacket

Photobucket

Classic military-style gets a modern revamp via Element’s new heavy-duty, Atwood Coat. With custom styling through and through, this jacket is detailed with drawstring hood accents, a hood bill, premium sherpa lining throughout the body and hood, taffeta sleeve lining and adjustable wrist cuffs. With plenty of pocket room and space to bury your face when the winds kick in, the Atwood is by far one of the hottest jackets in the game right now.

DVS Torey Pudwill Camo Snow

Photobucket

Torey Pudwill’s DVS pro model gets a winter-ready upgrade with this Camo accented, freeze-fighter. The signature midtop features weather protective tongue gussets; custom moisture wicking inner lining and DVS snow series artwork. They’re perfect for skating in the cold or rocking when winter boots just won’t cut it. Stay warm, and look right doing it.

DC Surface Jacket

Photobucket

Keep it lightweight, fully layerable and on the surface with DC’s new Surface Jacket. Essentially this things a windbreaker that’s thin, but warm. It features an accented zipper, front pockets, tailored wrist cuffs, a zip out hood, side tonal accents and some subtle DC logoing. It’s not freezing everywhere in the world, so this one will keep you comfortable when the breeze picks up.

Altamont Davis Slim

Photobucket

With a heavy list of contributors and designers, Altamont has been making some of the best gear in skateboarding since they started. Anyone who’s a fan of a straight pant chino should know that Altamont’s Davis pant is as comfortable and versatile as a pair gets. The Davis Slim is a slightly tighter version of a regular classic. Form-fitting, perfect every time with a slight stretch and Altamont labeling throughout.

Volcom Offline Sweater

Photobucket

While most of the world is online via wireless networks, you can kick it Offline in one of Volcom’s raddest sweaters. The one-sided vintage knit is part of the V.Co-Logical Collection, which means it’s environmentally sound, made of100% organic cotton. A good fit, a clean look and materials that make a difference. Get on it.

***Accessories***

Hex x The Hundreds Iphone 4 Wallet

Photobucket

Give your iphone 4 the love it needs and deserves with a collaboration that’s nothing but classic. The Hundreds recently teamed up with Hex to produce an all-in-one iphone 4 wallet that’s constructed of 100% genuine leather. Whether you got the 16GB or 32GB, this one’s a protective case, wallet and cardholder. Keep you ID, credit cards, business cards and even cash all up in this thing. Three killer colors to pick from, timeless design. That means you can’t go wrong.

LRG X Mini Green Capsule Speaker

Photobucket

LRG, the streetwear giant, has gone and dropped innovative little speaker that’s loud, portable and, the best part is…it’s collapsible. The X Mini easily pops open to flex its quality tweeter and bass capabilities with every song of your choosing. It’s got a rechargeable battery, USB plug and a trusty 3.5mm headphone port for essentials like ipods, computers, psps and cell phones. Mini, green, but a beast on your eardrums.

Nixon Rubber Player

Photobucket

Wear a Nixon watch that’s as comfortable as it is super sleek. The Nixon Rubber Player watch features a white molded silicone band and face that’s accented with a single real diamond. Can you pronounce, BALLER? 3 hand Japanese quartz, custom 100-meter stainless steel with co-molded polycarbonate and silicone casing and a patented locking looper buckle. Looks good, feels good, is resilient as hell, and yes…it has a real diamond inside.

OMIT Pa Snapback

Photobucket

The back that snaps is what the world is backing hard these days. Translation: Snapback. And one of the raddest brands, Chris Cole’s OMIT, is making an adjustable hat that kills it on all kinds of levels. Featuring a collegiate-style OMIT front logo, two-tone bill, accented blue snap and custom back labeling. At one size fit’s all, this thing is the gift that’s guaranteed work, regardless of the head that wears.

Go Pro HD Hero 2 Camera: Outdoor Edition

Photobucket

Skating, snowboarding, BMXing, skiing, kayaking, aggressive animal herding, whatever…if you’re into documenting your outdoor rugged lifestyle, you’d be tripping if you passed on a Go Pro. This fully portable, wearable, mountable HD camera is fully waterproof and ready to capture 1080p video and 11 megapixel photos at a rate of 10 photos per second. Mount it on your helmet; on your head or on your board, this thing has POV capabilities that were previously only available to those with Hollywood-sized budgets. Get one, give one and share your missions with the rest of the world.

Quiksilver 1969 Special Backpack

Photobucket

There' no such thing as too much. It’s never been said, at least not about a backpack. Quiksilver’s 1969 Special Backpack utilizes classic styling to produce one of the baddest bags we’ve yet to see. This thing has two large front main compartments, a ton of organizer pockets, side zip pockets, custom contoured shoulder straps for premium comfort, a special audio pocket with cord port and plenty more. The best part is, it’s all fully eco-friendly, with Q-Tec backing. If it’s space and a heavy duty, built-to-last pack you’re looking to get, this is the one to put on your Christmas list.

Brixton Cutter Cut-Off Glove

Photobucket

Brixton is the SoCal brand that’s been steadily producing some of the best hats and gear for years now. With timeless designs and throwback style, Brixton has a knack for what “classic” is all about. The Cutter Cut-Off gloves are a fingerless stretch glove that utilizes custom leather palm pads. Keep your hands warm without losing the ability to text, remove bills from you wallet, or call your boss back. Stay warm, stay fingerless and look like a bad-ass doing it.

Stance Thermostat Sock

Photobucket

What’s radder than getting socks in the giant sock we call a stocking? Well, the answer is; nothing. Continuing to dominate the sock game, Stance is making the essential foot covers that keep your walkers happy. The Thermostat sock is heavy-duty and extra warm, utilizing a combed cotton blend, a seamless toe closure and elastic arch support. That and, they look super good. It’s winter now, which means you won’t likely be showing them off with shorts, but you will most likely be removing your boots with each house your enter. Don’t be caught wearing hole-riddled, water stained tube socks this holiday season.
