In case you have been kept up at night wondering how today's top ski pros are weathering this grim economic downturn, I am happy here to be able to alleviate your worries in some measure. Here, we have some pictures and video of Andreas Hatveit's new Norwegian pad. As you can see, he is building quite the drop in for it. Half of me says he is doing this just to see how many heads he can make explode over in the Newschoolers' forum... but this does look pretty incredible. If you're a little bit puzzled as to how Andreas can afford something like this (especially since he gets screwed on the judging for nearly every contest he's ever entered [See: X Games, Superpipe, 2008]), if memory serves Andreas' parents own a ski resort over there in Norway.
