This weekend, the judges took a break from the usual ski judge route of jobbing Andreas Hatveit at big air comps, and gave him the victory at the 2009 Peak Performance King of Style. This is not entirely surprising though, as the Scandinavians have made a habit of winning the event in recent years... but beyond my ridiculous intimations of homecountry bias, I'd say this was a well-deserved win. I mean, look at the winning jump. It's hard to make it look any better than this:
1. ANDREAS H TVEIT, 286
2. Phil Casabon, 283
3. Sammy Carlson, 280
4. Pekka Hyysalo, 272
5. Jon Olsson, 270
6. Elias Amb hl, 262
7. Simon Dumont, 254
8. Patrick Hollaus, 252
9. Tom Wallisch, 240
10. Simon Ericsson, 201
11. LJ Strenio, 160
12. Jacob Wester, 134
And from the Jon Olsson blog, where they mix business with pleasure:
