Most of you have already heard by now that Sony's high definition Blu-Ray DVD format has won the battle against Toshiba's competing HD DVD format. Both companies tried their hardest to sway major movie studios to go with one over the other and in the end Sony just had deeper pockets. With Warner Brothers recently announcing to press DVD's exclusively in Blu-Ray it wasn't long before Netflix decided to drop the HD DVD category from their store with Best Buy following quickly behind stating that "we will recommend new customers choose Blu-Ray." What does this mean for you, the action sports enthusiast? Now that the format has been decided distributors will feel a little more comfortable pressing a couple thousand Blu-Ray discs of your favorite ski movie.

Totino\'s Field Notes

Totino's Field Notes

Totino's Field Notes - Road to the 2010 US Open of Snowboarding. It's been an interesting year for Totino's team riders Danny Davis and Mason Aguirre. After starting strong in the Fall and early season, with great contest results at the Totino's Open in Breckenridge, both riders suffered injuries. Danny is out for the year, but Mason recently came back and plans to throw down at next week's US Open of Snowboarding in Stratton, VT.
