Last week, the High Cascade Snowboard Camp held a snowboarding competition to determine which pro boarder has the best pro model. Over a dozen of the world's best gathered at Mt. Hood, Oregon for a series of trick and race competitions.
Riders were Joe Sexton, Kyle Clancy, Chris Bradshaw, MFM, Chris Grenier, Keegan Valaika, Derek Dennison, Bryan Fox, Austin Smith, Lane Knaack, Aaron Biittner, Heikki Sorsa, Iikka Backstrom, and last year s champ Lauri Heiskari.
Day 1 saw Keegan Valaika take the High Ollie reverse limbo event. Chris Bradshaw got second, and Joe Sexton, Lane Knaack, and Heikki Sorsa were locked in a three-way tie for third.
Next was a rider-judged rail jam where everyone was off the hook, but Joe Sexton took the title. Austin Smith and Derek Dennison rounded out the podium.
For Day 2, three more competitions went down. First up was Spin to Win, which Kyle Clancy dominated with two 900s. Next, everyone took to the Superpipe for a big air competition. Clancy, Brian Fox, and Austin Smith were engaged in a three-way battle, but Clancy came out on top again, followed by Smith and Fox.
The last event was the Chinese Downhill race. Things got a little dirty as everyone fought for their place in the competition. Fox came out on top, followed by Smith and Iikka Backstrom.
Final results have yet to be released, but no matter who wins, there was some awesome boarding on some awesome boards going down at the HCSC this weekend.
