Most snowboarders at one point or another have dreamed about dropping it all and moving to the mountains. It's a right of passage - a calling if you will. The dream of the big move and a season (or seasons) spent chasing pow is the life blood that keeps us stoked, even when beaten by the man and sitting behind a desk.

With that it's with real sadness we learned about Jasper "Jaz" McGrath, 19, from Minnesota, who was killed in a self-triggered avalanche this week in Vail (initially reported here).

It just goes to show you that you never know what tomorrow's gonna bring, so live it now. At least McGrath's family can take solace in the knowledge that that Jaz was doing exactly that.
